Who are these Critters you speak of?

Disney - Hollywood Studios

After I headed back to Tallahassee, Grandma B, Rian, Uncle Adam, Matt and the Critters headed to Hollywood Studios to see the Osborne Spectacle of Lights.  As I wasn't there with them there is not a whole lot that I can speak to.  Apparently, they had a great time.  That's all I've got.

Here are some pics from the adventure:

The whole crew.

The Sci-Fi Dinner Theatre.

Princess Kitty.

I think this is the Toy Story ride.  I haven't been on it so that is my best guess.

The best part of the trip according to Brother.  As he says "Disney Live on Stage, Jake and the Pirates."

Once again, we never seem to follow stroller safety protocols.

At the end of the evening.

They didn't get a picture, but this is what the Osborne Spectacle of Lights looks like.

Sea World

A couple of days after Christmas we headed to Sea World thanks to the kindness of one of Grandma Kate's co-workers we got free tickets.  The crew consisted of me, Rian, Grandma B, Aunt Jane, and the Critters.  It was a bit blustery that day so we had to bundle up.  Luckily, most of the animals don't really care if it is cold outside since they are under water or used to it.

The Critters loved it there.  There were tons of animals and shows that they actually sat through without fussing.  There was even a show with a sea otter in it, which of coarse thrilled CarCar.  Haddie was also over the moon that they had manatees, albeit hurt ones, but manatees all the same.

Of coarse we had to do the Shamu show and we had to sneak into the handicap section to find seats.  The weird thing is the handicap seats are right at the edge of the splash zone.  Doesn't really seem like an appropriate location to me.  Nonetheless we stretched the truth about Haddie's broken leg, we failed to mention that it was broken four months earlier and was fully healed.  Oh well, no one came to try to sit in the seats anyway.

We headed back to Grandma Kate's after a long day.  I definitely would like to head back, maybe when it is just a little bit warmer out though.

Here are a few pics:

Probably not the recommended seating placement.

The pirate show that we went to.  Yes that is a seal standing up.

The star of the show according to CarCar.  Yep, an otter with a treasure map in its mouth.

The whole crew by the manatees.

Haddie and the 'Mannie."

Grandma B with the girls.

CarCar and the dolphin.

I had to take a picture of this for CarCar.

Some sort of "Christmas Dolphin" character.

Shamu and baby Shamu.

It was pretty amazing seeing them scoot back into the water.

Part of the Grand Finale.

Pigs

As many of you all know Haddie is obsessed with pigs, I mean really obsessed.  Luckily for her, Santa and the Fam brought her some new piggies to add to her "Pig Family" as she calls it.  She has gotten no less than five pigs since Christmas.  It is always fun in the morning making her bed, I have to arrange the "piggy family" to her precise specifications.

Abbey's Birthday

I am waaaaayyyyyyy behind on the posts, so I am going to rocket on back to December 7, 2012.  Abbey turned sixish that day.  I am not sure what that equates to in dog years but I think she may have cemented herself as the oldest member of the household.

Don't worry we were not feeding her a firework, but that candle on the cupcake looks pretty intense, Reese looks a little concerned.

Thanks Santa

Well, Christmas season has come and gone.  We spent a majority of it down in sunny and for the most part warm Orlando.

The jeep was packed and we headed on our merry way Saturday the 22nd.  There was no way that we were driving down Friday night.  For some reason the Critters do not like to be in the car when it is dark.  Some may say, hey don't the sleep when its dark?  My resounding answer to that is a big fat no.  For some reason they have no desire to sleep in a dark car.  All we hear is "Its dark I can't see anything."  Well, isn't that kind of the point?  We have resigned ourselves to be day trippers until the Critters get new car seats, we think that may help a little.

After a few uneventful days we noticed the Critters coughing and having something that more resembled a runny faucet than a nose.  Christmas was great and the Critters came away with quite the bounty of stuffed animals, princesses, and pirates.  The sickness came to a head the day after Christmas when we took them to an urgent care (Capital Health Care stinks-I could fill in a few other choice words but I will refrain) to see what was going on.  Well, in addition to all the toys Santa brought he also brought sinus infections for both of the girls and a mild case of pneumonia for Brother.  Absolutely fantastic.  Luckily, the Critters did not get my allergy to all 'cillins, and were able to get some fairly strong medicine to wipe out the illness.  It is amazing how quickly kids bounce back.  We took an extremely cautious approach and we were still able to head to Sea World that Sunday.

Other than the Sea World trip (which I have plenty of pics from), we kept a relatively low profile, thanks to the pesky ailments.   The Critters and crew made a trip down to MGM Studios @ Disney after I left and I was assured that there are plenty of pictures from that, so I will have a few more posts to put up soon.
